ASU Teachers College online graduate programs again ranked among the best in US

Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College is the only college of education in the U.S. News & World Report top 15 for on-campus and online graduate education degrees

Six online master’s degrees in education offered by Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College are among the top five in the nation in their specialty areas, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2021 Best Online Graduate Education Programs rankings.

These honors made the Teachers College the only college of education in the country to rank in the U.S. News top 15 in both on-campus and online graduate education degrees. Overall, the college is tied for the No. 15 ranking for Best Online Master’s in Education Programs.

The Teachers College rankings in online master’s degree specialty areas include:

  • No. 1 Best Online Master's in Curriculum and Instruction Programs.
  • No. 1 Best Online Master's in Instructional Media Programs.
  • No. 1 Best Online Master's in Educational Administration Programs.
  • No. 3 Best Online Master's in Special Education Programs.

The Teachers College earned the No. 1 ranking in curriculum and instruction for its online degrees in early childhood education and gifted education. Top honors for instructional media programs went to the Master of Education degree in learning design and technologies.

The Master of Education in educational leadership is the No. 1-ranked online administration master’s degree in the country, and degrees in autism spectrum disorders and applied behavior analysis earned the college the No. 3 ranking in special education.

The college is also ranked highly — No. 6 — for Best Online Master’s in Education Programs for Veterans.

Meredith Toth, assistant dean for digital learning at the Teachers College, said, “This year, because of the pandemic, the whole world saw how necessary and vital it is that universities have the capability to deliver high-quality online learning. We’ve been at this a while. We have a team of instructional designers and faculty members working together to design rich, interactive online learning experiences for our students.”
