Teachers College graduate programs rank 14th in US among public universities
Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University continues its climb in the rankings of the nation’s highest-rated graduate programs in education.
A U.S. News and World Report college rankings released today ranked Teachers College 14th among public graduate schools of education and 24th among all public and private graduate programs in the field. Last year ASU’s graduate education programs ranked 16th and 26th, respectively. This year’s report also showed Teachers College has the third-highest number of graduate students enrolled among all programs reviewed. The report ranked a total of 238 public and private universities.
“Everything we do at Teachers College is with the intent of being a constructive force in education,” said Mari Koerner, dean of the college. “Through our nationally acclaimed research and commitment to excellence, we continue to raise the bar for teaching, discovery and innovation across the educational spectrum.
“Perhaps most important, our education and influence extend beyond ASU’s four campuses. We make it a point to be active and embedded in our K-12 schools and communities. Whether it’s supervising beginning teachers in special education classrooms, raising the bar for training and supporting school leaders, evaluating education policies or collaborating with other ASU scholars to produce transformational learning tools, our faculty and students are addressing the challenges of education for a rapidly changing world.”
