NABA awards scholarships to five law students
The Native American Bar Association of Arizona (NABA-AZ) recently awarded $1,000 academic scholarships to each of five students from the College of Law.
Each year, the NABA-AZ dedicates scholarship money raised at its annual golf fundraiser to the Seven Generations Scholarship Program. Since the program’s inception in 2007, Seven Generations has raised and donated more than $30,000 to Native students.
The students selected from the College of Law this year were Tahda Antone, Tara Houska, Joe Keene, Megan Rae and Jonathan Sanchez.
As a non-profit organization, the NABA-AZ is dedicated to promoting the development of Native American attorneys and advancing and improving the practice of Indian Law in Arizona.
