Long-term, card-access bicycle storage opens

A free, card-access bicycle storage facility opened earlier this week on the ASU Tempe campus. The facility is for daily, long-term use and is located south of Payne Hall. Up to 64 bicycle racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To gain facility access, Sun Devils first must register their bicycles with ASU Police Department and select β€œyes” to the question on the form regarding facility access. For those whose bikes are already registered, please email the Walk-Only Zones team with your ASURITE ID and 10-digit affiliate ID to request access.

Watch this video to learn how to use the bicycle racks within the facility. Cyclists also are required to lock their bicycles securely.

Additional bicycle-parking options around the Tempe campus include vertical bicycle racks, open-hoop horizontal bicycle racks and a bicycle valet service. The bicycle valet station is located east of the Memorial Union and provides free, supervised bicycle parking. Visit the bike.asu.edu Web page for valet details.

These new bicycle storage facilities – as well as lockable skateboard racks – also support the Tempe campus Walk-Only Zones. Visit this Web page to watch a video about how to use the skateboard racks.
