Kader invited to attend conference for Holocaust survivors

ASU Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law professor David Kader recently was invited to attend a conference on Nov. 13-14 in Phoenix, organized by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The event, “Regional Education Summit: Exploring the Future of Holocaust Education,” will explore questions like "What does it mean to teach about the Holocaust?" and "What is essential for audiences to learn about the Holocaust?"

A new museum exhibition will also be introduced at the event, “Some Were Neighbors,” which explores the motives and pressures that led individuals to act during the Holocaust.

Kader is one of the founders of the local Phoenix Holocaust Survivors' Association, served for nine years as president and is currently the speaker on Second Generation themes and concerns.

Kader has also worked with many other local lawyers, pro bono, on reparations issues involving Jewish Holocaust Survivors, a project that received the major Outstanding Pro Bono Award from the American Bar Association.
