Furnish leads a discussion on Latin America

Dale Furnish, professor emeritus in ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, recently led a discussion on legal developments in Latin America for the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations.

The discussion was held at Snell & Wilmer law firm on Nov. 14 as part of a series of programs on Latin America in November, including a breakfast on Nov. 5 with Carlos Valdez, Owens Corning’s vice president for Latin America, and a dinner presentation on Nov. 18 by Shannon O’Neill, author of "Two Nations Indivisible: Mexico and the U.S."

Furnish enjoys an international reputation for his work in comparative law and international commercial and trade law, as well as U.S. commercial law. Bilingual in Spanish, he has been invited to teach and speak in every country in South and Central America, and has served as Visiting Professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the University of Sonora, Mexico, and on two occasions at the Catholic University of Peru.
