'Beauty and the Beast' dress drive to provide dresses for girls in foster care

Every girl deserves to feel like a princess, and ASU Gammage, National Charity League Cactus Wren Chapter and the Hope & A Future Princess Program have teamed up to make that a reality.

From 9 to 11 a.m., March 23, in the ASU Gammage Box Office Plaza the public is asked to bring gently used or new prom, homecoming and evening dresses for the Hope and a Future Princess Program, a nonprofit that provides dresses for girls in foster care.

The first 50 people to donate a dress will receive a free ticket voucher* to see the opening night performance of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" live on stage at ASU Gammage. The show runs April 9-14.

“One of the most powerful things you can convey to a teenage girl is that they are beautiful inside and out," says Sharon Davis, Princess Program volunteer. "That is the ongoing mission of Hope & A Future’s Princess Program – to give teenage foster girls an evening that celebrates how truly wonderful they are, and why we are so excited to partner with ASU Gammage on this dress drive.”
