ASU climbs 2 spots in US News rankings for online graduate education programs

For the second year in a row, the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University is in the top 25 among online graduate education programs, according to the 2015 U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Online Programs” rankings.

The college climbed two spots from last year to No. 23 among the nation’s public and private universities.

“This year’s report once again reflects the college’s commitment to setting a new standard for teaching, discovery and innovation in a global world,” said Mari Koerner, dean of Teachers College. “As leaders in education, our mission is to support teaching and learning all over the world – and our highly-ranked online programs help us to achieve that goal.”

Allowing its award-winning faculty to disseminate their wealth of knowledge to students well beyond the Phoenix metropolitan area, Teachers College offers the following online graduate programs:

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Master of Arts – Curriculum and Instruction: English as a Second Language (ESL)

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Gifted Education

• Master of Education – Early Childhood Education - Certification/Endorsement

• Master of Education – Educational Leadership

More than 250 schools were included in this year’s rankings, a 12 percent increase over last year’s 226 online graduate programs of education. Programs were ranked according to faculty credentials and training, admission selectivity, student engagement, student services and technology, and peer reputation.
