It’s that time of year again when Sun Devils from all across the world descend upon Tempe for the long-awaited tradition that is Homecoming. This year will once again be filled with free, fun, family-friendly activities for all.

The celebration culminates with a powerhouse football matchup at Sun Devil Stadium between the ASU Sun Devils and the Oregon State Beavers on Nov. 19. Kickoff time is 12:15 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
Before the game that morning, plan on bringing the whole family to the ASU Homecoming Parade, which starts at 9 a.m. and takes place along University Drive between Forest and McAllister Avenues. The parade features the ASU Marching Band, Homecoming Court and several community organizations and local celebrities.
ASU Block Party beins immediately after the parade, where attendees will find more than 100 booths with free, fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. The Block Party spans across 14 acres of the Tempe campus, including the Old Main lawn. Enjoy games, giveaways and interactive exhibits. (Please note, for everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please do not bring dogs or pets to the event.)

Before the main event, the Lantern Walk — ASU's oldest Homecoming tradition, first celebrated in 1917 — will place on Friday, Nov. 18. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. at the base of Tempe Butte (“A” Mountain), with a DJ setting the stage for an illuminated hike up the mountain. Homecoming Royalty will be crowned at the top of “A” Mountain, student leaders will provide brief remarks and Sparky will light up the "A." The meeting location is at the trailhead at Veteran's Way and College Avenue. (Please note, there is no parking directly at this trailhead, so please plan ahead.)
After the Lantern Walk, students can head over to the Sun Devil Fitness Center fields for International Night and parade float building. Homecoming Parade registration deadline is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9.
