The perks of studying and living together
Throughout the semester, a select group of ASU freshmen will be blogging about their first year as Sun Devils. In the same way that graduation serves as a milestone marker for both students and the university, the freshman year experience is one of significant formation as it sets the foundation for academic excellence.

Over the past few weeks, my class workloads have definitely increased by a large amount. I am studying a lot for my chemistry and calculus classes. Though it is challenging, I have made many new friends in all of my classes and some of them even live in my hall, which is convenient when you need a study group. Most nights of the week we are studying together, which is beneficial as well as fun.
School work aside, I've found some great ways to take advantage of the campus resources. I love working out at the SRC because it is open 24/7, which is perfect for the college student who never sleeps! I also have taken up doing P90X workouts in my dorm room with some friends, which acts as a conversation starter as people walk down the hall.
I love attending Sun Devil football games. Game Day is definitely fun. We arrived to the game late and so we had to stand way up high in the bleachers, but the game was so much fun that it didn't even matter.
I have made so many friends and am having such a great time here, I know for certain it was the right choice to come to ASU.
