Info meetings scheduled for summer study abroad directors

The ASU Study Abroad Office will be hosting two informational meetings for faculty members interested in developing a summer 2009 study abroad program. First time program directors, as well as veteran program directors offering new programs, are strongly encouraged to attend. Attendees will learn about the process of proposing a new faculty directed study abroad program.

Interested parties should plan to participate in one of the following two meetings: Wednesday, Nov. 5, from noon to 2 p.m (please feel free to bring your lunch), or Thursday, Nov. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. Both events will be held in the Memorial Union, Room 236 (Mohave).

RSVP to Debbie Tibbs-Collins at Debbie.Tibbs@asu.edu or (480) 965-5965.

Student and faculty participation in study abroad is an outstanding way to put into practice President Crow’s vision of ASU as a New American University with a strong commitment to global engagement. In a recent survey of ASU short-term study abroad participants, students cited numerous gains in academic, personal, and cultural development as a result of participation. Please consider joining many of your colleagues by developing a program in your field of expertise.
