Arizona State University computer science major and Japanese minor student Oscar Veloria Jr. traveled to Japan as part of a study abroad trip in May 2019. Veloria took Japanese language and cultural classes at Hiroshima University and one of his class activities took him to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where he learned about the tragic effects of the bombing of Hiroshima on Aug. 6, 1945.
