ASU Insight: Arizona and Mexico: Leading with Trade Governor's Luncheon

On Nov. 8, ASU President Michael Crow participated in the Arizona-Mexico Commission’s Governor’s Luncheon, a special event focused on binational trade featuring Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and Mexico Ambassador to the United States Geronimo Gutierrez.
During the program, Crow moderated a conversation with Governor Ducey and Ambassador Gutierrez, posing questions related to the elevation of the U.S.-Mexico trade relationship, regional development, and binational educational opportunities, among other topics. The panel emphasized the vital economic, social and cultural ties between both nations and the need for continued collaborative coordination.
The Arizona-Mexico Commission was founded by Governor Paul Fannin in 1959 as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cross-border, public/private collaboration to improve the economic prosperity and quality of life for all Arizonans.
