ASU School of Music hosts piano sale

The ASU School of Music in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in conjunction with AZ Piano, the largest freestanding piano gallery store in the Southwest, is holding its popular annual piano sale from May 14 – 17 this year.

Each May, the School of Music sells the pianos that have been on loan from AZ Piano during the school year. Every year Jason Sipe, AZ PIano owner and School of Music alumnus, ensures that the School of Music's student practice rooms are equipped with quality pianos. At the end of the school year, these and other quality pianos from the store are sold at deep discounts to the general public. The proceeds of the sale are shared with the School of Music and are used to purchase new pianos for the school. “Without the generosity of Mr. Sipe, many practice rooms in the School of Music would be empty,” says Rick Florence, manager of keyboard technology and event services. AZ Piano works with the school to ensure sale prices are discounted below in-store prices and all pianos carry full warranties.

The 2015 piano sale will take place at the School of Music building, 50 E. Gammage Parkway, on ASU’s Tempe Campus.
